Fueled by German donuts, we finally see Neuschwanstein castle!

They don't allow photography inside. The interior is modern with glass windows that open and close, running water, and electricity. It feels almost artificial. Like a pretend castle.

We took the carriage up and down the steep hill. The carriage had an electric motor helping the horses.

There are mineral hotsprings nearby (also do not allow photography)and we decide to take a dip in the healing waters. The pools had from 2.5% salinity up to 24%. The 12% stung our skin and we floated without any effort. Sam tried the full 24% pool by himself. He's always up to try unique experiences!

The kids thought it would be fun to go touch Austria, so we did that. The lakes and rivers are emerald green. All we are missing is our travel trailer and Cedar!

The countryside and the towns we've see are really clean. I've never seen anything quite like it. From the airport all along our drive and across the river to Austria there is no litter whatsoever. The farms and hillsides are mowed and there are neat little piles of chopped wood. Burn piles are tidy. Animal pastures are clean. The rivers and gravelbars are trash free. People are out pruning apple trees in the sunshine and tending early spring gardens of bulbs.

Sam and I walked along the river to the laundrymat.

It's leftovers night and if that doesn't work, there's always the sausage vending machines!
