I'm glad to leave the perfume of Paris today and head to clean mountain air.

We take a short flight to stuggart Germany and pick up a rental car. I relax now that Sam is behind the wheel instead of crazy taxi drivers. There's a general friendliness again, like being in Oregon. Two different people noticed we were looking for our car and stopped to help. In a grocery store I use Google translate to ask if I can use the bathroom, this must have been hilarious as it translated closer to, "can I take a shower" and the cashier was laughing uncontrollably but closed her register and took me to the restroom in back. We drive through little farming towns.

We stop later to ask an elder woman who is gardening if she can tell us where public restrooms are and she welcomed us into her home.

We arrive at our apartment in fussen.

We find a nice German restaurant and have a beautiful meal. Unfortunately Pearl is sick and didn't come with us.
