We arrived in Rothenburg today. We entered what looked like a one way street through a narrow archway into the walled city.

It didn't seem like we should be driving on this narrow cobblestone path. We zigged and zagged to our hotel.

The apartment is old, we expected that much but I think the red shag carpet may also be from the 17th century. Pearls room is a closet with stained carpet and dirty walls. Our 2.5 bathrooms is one bathroom with two toilets and a room with a shower and a mini fridge/coffee maker so we'll call it the kitchen with shower. It is disappointing. I take the kids to the Dr Hauschka store and get some small bath products and essential oils to try and make things nicer, outside Sam picked up a bouquet of tulips for Pearl's room.

The town is beautiful, I wish we were in better spirits.

We wander through an enormous Christmas store. Maybe I'm just not in the Christmas spirit but I don't find even one ornament I need to bring home.

We're hungry and getting getting tired of translating German menus. We land on Indian food. The great joke of this trip is all the Asian food we keep eating.
