We headed to Tate modern this morning for the Yayoi Kusama installation. There were two installations, the Infinity room - filled with the brilliance of life and the chandelier of grief. The first time through we got stuck with the noisy family who talked the whole 3 minutes we were in the experience. So we didn't get the immersive experience. We decided to try again and it was right at a shift change, the new staff member sent us in alone. We couldn't believe our luck. This time through we were part of the endless sparkles.

We had lunch at the Mayflower pub on the river Thames. It's the actual place the Mayflower departed for America. Their take on a veggie Platter and mine didn't line up but the atmosphere was really friendly and interesting. Being in that location helped us homeschoolers anchor a piece of history and we tried to imagine who may have sat in our seats 400 years ago.

We saw some pretty street art.

The kids had pizza and watched some British cartoons (Winnie the Pooh) and Jordyn and I had a fun dinner at the local pub with surprisingly good food and plenty of colorful language from the locals.
